Align Controls to the Grid

There is another way to line up the Fields. The dots that you see in the background whenever a Form or Report is in Design View mark the Grid. You can use the Grid to align Controls precisely.

 

4. Try it: Align Controls to the Grid

Go to the FullName Header

Select: FullName, Address1 and CityStateZip.

Go to Report Design Tools ->Arrange.

Go to Sizing and Ordering->Align.

 

What Do You See? There are several options for aligning the Controls including:

To Grid

Left

Right

Top

Bottom

 

Select an Alignment: To Grid.
