Exam 77-424: Microsoft Access 2013
2.0 Build Tables
2.4 Create and Modify Fields: Configure Fields to Auto-increment (Primary Key)

Look For Clues in the Design

2. Try it: Return to the Design View

Go to Home ->Views->View.

Select a View: Design View.

Try This, Too: Find the Primary Key

Select a Field: ID

What Do You See? The ID Field is different from the Text Fields we have been editing.

This is the Primary Key. The Primary Key uniquely identifies each record. It is an Integer, a Whole Number.

A Primary Key cannot be empty, or null. The value entered for the Primary Key cannot be duplicated.

Keep going...
