Exam 77-424: Microsoft Access 2013
1.0 Create and Manage a Database
1.3 Navigate Through a Database: Set Navigation Options

Find the Navigation Options

As you work with your database, you may accumulate many copies of the Tables. Which one is the current data and not the backup? It can become very confusing.

Save As What? When you create a copy of an Access Object you will be prompted to enter a name for the copy. If you include the date as part of the name, it makes it easy to identify when the copy was created.

For example: tblCustomers 022814.

Use the Navigation Pane By default, the Navigation Pane displays All Access Objects. The Objects are Grouped and Sorted. You can change the Navigation Pane if you wish. What are the options?

1. Try it: Find the Navigation Pane Options

Go to All Access Objects.

Click on the Option arrow.

What Do You See? The Access Objects are grouped by Type (Table, Chairs).

Keep going...
