Add Another Field

At this point, our PivotTable has one field in the Axis (the Category) and the Sum of Amount for the Value. When you add another field to the PivotTable, you add another layer of complexity to your chart.

 

This lesson will add a field to the Legend, (the Series). This will create a Cross-Tab PivotTable. It will also change how the data is displayed in the PivotChart.

 

Before You Begin: Select the PivotChart. The PivotChart Tools should be available.

 

1. Try it: Add Another Field

Go to PivotChart Tools ->Analyze.

Go to Show/Hide->Field List
Select: Category

Drag Category to the Legend Fields.
