The Cut Command

You can use Cut to remove the contents of a cell and paste that information into a different cell, or perhaps in another spreadsheet or document.

 

1. Try it: Cut the Data

Select: Cells B2:B7

Go to Home->Clipboad->Cut.

 

What Do You See? There should be a border (the black marching ants) around Cells B2:B7.

 

2. Do This, Too: Paste the Data

Select Cell C2.

Go to Home->Clipboard->Paste.

 

What Do You See, Now? The data should be Cut from B2:B7 and Pasted into C2:C7.
