Add the Axis Titles

By definition, an Axis is the line bordering the chart that indicates the unit of measurement: money, weight, size. The y axis is usually the vertical axis and contains data. The x-axis is usually the horizontal axis and has categories.

A column or bar chart has two axes: Primary Horizontal Axis and Primary Vertical Axis. The Axis and the Axis Labels can be modified.

1. Try it: Add the Axis Titles
Select the Chart before you begin.
Go to Chart Elements ->Axis Titles.
Click on: Axis Titles.
Click on the arrow to the right of Axis Titles.

What Do You See? When you select Axis Titles both the of the Axes (Primary Horizontal and Primary Vertical) are selected. You can pick one or both if you wish.
