Format the Pictures Some of the pictures from space have a black background. However, the density of the black is not as dark as the black color of the slides. There is a simple way to make adjustments.   Before You Begin: The image on Slide 3 is called Tree of Life. It is selected and the Picture Tools are available. 3. Try it: Adjust the Contrast Go to Picture Tools ->Format ->Adjust. Click on Corrections. Select the Brightness and Contrast.   Brightness bathes the image in light and “washes out” the colors.   Contrast accentuates the difference between absolute black and white. When you increase the Contrast, the black gets darker and the white gets lighter.
