The first
slide, the Title Slide, has a different layout than the rest of the slides. The Title slide is like the
cover on a book. The
technical term for the Text Box is Placeholder. The first
example adds text into the placeholder. Before
You Begin: Use the Slide Pane on the left side to click on Slide
1. When it is selected you will see it highlighted with a border. 2. Try it: Enter Text in a Text Box Slide 1 is
selected. There are two Text Boxes. Click in the top Text Box. Type:

You See? The Text Box has a dashed line around the Border. There
are handles in each corner and on the sides. What
Else Do You See? The words in the Title are big (60 pt) and
