Lesson 7: Photo Albums and Views
Try This: Do the following steps
1.
Open a new blank presentation.
2. Insert a photo album. Downlad and add the four crane sample pictures: crane 1, crane 2, crane 3, crane 4
a. Rotate picture crane 2 counter clockwise so the birds are
right-side up.
b.
Adjust the brightness on crane 4 until the picture is no longer washed
out.
c.
Reorder the picture so that Crane 4 is the first picture.
3. Save the photo album presentation as Birds1.
4. Download and open the sample presentation Sandhill
Cranes.pptx
5. Apply the Theme Spring (or a theme of your choice.)
6. Reuse the slides from the Birds 1 photo album presentation. Sort the
photo slides in an order that makes sense to you.
7. Save this file as Sandhill Cranes with Photos.
8. Open another new blank slide show. Add the title: More Facts on
Sandhill Cranes
a.
Add each of the facts on its own slide.
i. Adults are gray
ii. They have a red forehead and a dark bill
iii. Wingspan is 5-7 ft
iv They fly south for the winter
b.
Apply the Theme Adjacency.
c.
Save this file as More Sandhill Facts. Close this file.
9. Return to the Sandhill Cranes with Photos presentation.
a.
Add a section break after the last slide.
b.
Reuse the slides from More Sandhill Facts. Insert the slides in Section
2 and Keep Source Formatting.
10. Rename Section 2 as More Facts.
11. Change the Theme in Section 1 of the Sandhill Cranes with Photos
presentation to be Solstice.
12. Add a picture of your choice to each slide of the More Facts
Section.
13. Change the entire presentation to be Grayscale.
14. Save the file as Beginning PowerPoint Practice Activity 6.
