Distribute Columns

Working with the Columns and Rows in a Table does not have to be "all or nothing." Here is a method for selecting the columns that you want and making all of them the same width.

 

Before You Begin: Select all of the Rows EXCEPT for the first Row. The Table Tools should be available.

6. Try This: Distribute Columns

Go to Table Tools -> Layout -> Cell Size.

Click on Distribute Columns.

 

What Do You See? The Columns in the selected Rows will be exactly the same width...computers are precise!
