Manage Styles: Set Defaults

Many people have strong preferences on how a document should be formatted. You can edit the Font Size, Color, Paragraph, Alignment and Line Spacing and make your preferences the default, if you wish.

For example, the default leading (line spacing) in Word is Multiple with 10pt of white space between paragraphs. You can change the default typesetting here.

5. Try This: Review the Set Defaults Tab
Set Defaults lets you choose how you would like to format the Font.

Try This: Edit the Paragraph Spacing

Select a Font: +Body.
Change the Size: 10 pt.
Paragraph Spacing Before: 0 pt
Paragraph Spacing After: 12 pt
Line Spacing: Single.

Click
OK. The Manage Styles window will close. That should format all of the Normal text in this sample document.
