Crop the Picture

Here is another essential Picture Tool: Crop. You can use Cropping to cut out distracting background images and focus on the best part of the picture.

Before You Begin: Add Another Picture
Go to Insert->Illustrations->Picture.
Browse to the Document Folder.
Select: Michigan-Balloonfest-22.gif       

1. Try it: Crop the Picture
Go to Picture Tools -> Format.
Go to the Size group.
Click on Crop.

2. What Do You See? The picture will have a new frame with black crop marks. Place your cursor on any crop mark, then click and hold your mouse to drag the crop marks and edit the picture. When you are ready, click on Crop again to accept your new marks.
