View the Text Pane
You can Show or Hide the Text Pane if you wish. The Text Pane is
the data outline to the left of the SmartArt diagram.
2. Try This: View the Text Pane
Click on the SmartArt diagram.
Go to SmartArt Tools ->Design.
Select: Text Pane.
What Do You See? The Text Pane can be
displayed or hidden.
What Else Do You See? If you look on the left side
of the SmartArt Diagram, there is a small set of arrows that you can use
to Show or Hide the Text Pane as well.
