Welcome to Excel

This is a simple exercise that points out the similarities of the toolbars in both Microsoft Word and Excel.

1. Try It: Open a Sample Spreadsheet

Go to Start -> Microsoft Excel.

Open Rainfall 2013.xlsx

What Do You See? Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access were designed to work together.

Most of the options you use in Word can be found on the same Ribbons in Excel.

Memo to Self: Files that are downloaded from the Internet are disabled for security reasons. Go to the Security banner and click Enable so that you can edit the spreadsheet.
