Add a Picture

We need to add a picture for the company logo. Then, format the picture so that it is centered over the text.

Before You Begin: Please download the Sample files and save them in your Documents folder.

5. Try It: Insert a Picture

Click at the beginning of the Document.
Go to
Insert->Illustrations->Picture.
Browse to the
Documents folder.
Select a picture: 1logo.jpg

 

Try This, Too: Format the Picture
The picture is still selected.
Go to the Layout Options.
Select: In line with Text.

Place your cursor to the right of the picture and hit ENTER on the keyboard to create a new line. This should force the text onto line two, centered under the picture.

Memo to Self: It is not necessary to match the examples on these pages. You can use your own pictures of you wish.
