Layout Options

Hello, picture! How does this picture work with the words? Is it on the words covering them up? Under them? What are the Layout Options

Try it: Edit the Layout Options.

1. Click once on the picture to select it. The Picture Tools should be available at the top of Microsoft Word, above the Home Ribbon.

Look for the new, "Quick Click" button
Layout Options in the upper right corner of the picture.

2. Click on the Quick Click: Layout Options.

Go to With Text Wrapping.
Click on Tight.

3. Choose: Fix Position on Page. The text should go around the picture now: not under or over it.

Memo to Self: The phrases "in Line with Text" and "Move with Text" mean the picture will behave like a giant letter.

When you format a picture With Text Wrapping and Fix position on page, the picture can be moved freely, as if it was a Sticky Note.
